Day 25: The One with the Goodbye

I am so very sad to say that today was the end of my British pastry journey. Today was extremely short but filled with toasts, diplomas, awards, and medals. We started the day with Damien giving a toast thanking everyone for coming to the class. He mentioned how amazing it is that so many people came from different countries and how we will all be going home to different places after spending weeks together. Its amazing how big the world is and yet small enough to bring us all together in Cheltenham.

After that we were each given a certificate of completion that was signed by Damien and all of the guests chefs. We were also given pastry academy medals to have as a token from the class, maybe a nice Christmas tree ornament. Damien also handed out awards that we had anonymously voted for. Lastly we took lots of pictures and said our goodbyes.

This journey has been truly a once in a lifetime experience and I cannot believe that I am here and that I am already leaving. Time flies by when you are having fun and trying new things especially in England. With that I will say goodbye, goodbye to Cheltenham, goodbye to pastry academy, goodbye to my new friends, and goodbye to my pastry blog. I hope everyone has enjoyed this blog as much as I have and that you have maybe learned a new fact or two along the way. Hopefully I can come bake for you soon!
